It was hot, humid, and hazy definitely not the greatest combination of weather. Destiny Island and the surrounding areas had been suffering from this weather pattern for a couple of weeks already with no end in sight. What made it worse was that it felt like it was only getting hotter, and there was only so much time that one could spend in the water before one became waterlogged. Most people huddled inside their air conditioned homes or businesses. Even the most daring of people who came to this little island wouldnt come out to play.
Which was fine by me, I didnt really want to talk to anyone anyway, but all the same, I wasnt alone either. Glancing down at my sleeping companion, I wonder how he can manage to sleep through this. Both of us, dressed in just our sw

Although Riku couldnt argue that hed never been stunned before the previous weeks events had managed to do that if nothing else he could say he hadnt ever been in this sort of situation.
Never would he have guessed that Roxas truly had some interest in him, had feelings for him, and somehow no matter how much hed thought about it the words hadnt sunk in. His disbelief had hurt the other boy but that hadnt made him any less incredulous.
He didnt think he could question the fact that the blond was kissing him, though.
For a time, Riku remained stock still, mind frantic to come up with a response to his present circumstance. No one had just kissed him out of nowhere before and there hadnt ever been a time when a time when a boy had done that either. His fingers twitched at his sides as he thought about it, more than anything trying to decide his response to the situation.

Tick Tock Heart Contest Entry2
Once there was a boy who lived in a town where the sun never rose or set. Day and night, dusk and dawn, the sun forever hung in the same place in the sky. The town was bathed in an eternally warm golden glow that warmed the streets and the hearts of the people as they went about their daily business, their lives simple and peaceful.
All around the boy the people of the town were happy and carefree, their greatest conflicts arising from completing simple chores or arguments that often ended up jokes, the sweetness of their golden world seeping into their words and actions like honey.
Every day the boy watched them, so content and jovial. There were no troubles casting deep, dark shadows on his life either, no banes or old scars of which he could complain And yet the boy was not happy like the other people in the town. No, the boy was far from being happy as the people all around him were.
This was because the boy did not have a heart of his own. Not a real

Most of the time Riku appreciated the quiet period that advisement brought. Having a solid class period during which to work on anything or nothing was quite handy for many students and he was among them, even if usually he was simply reading during the entire time. It allowed him time to work on whatever he wished and that was a rarity.
Of course his mind couldnt focus despite his repeated attempts to get back into the assigned reading for his English class, despite the fact that he was interested in it. The nice thing about being a junior was that he was able to take something like a course on science fiction and fantasy literature, and there he was, unable to focus on it.
All he kept thinking about was how Roxas had sounded. His best guess about the situation was that Sora had been some sort of intermediary, helping the blond because helping was in his nature, and Riku had done and denied the possibility of what his best friend had tried to tell him.
And he laughed
