A fanfic for ~BubblegumHead

A rikuroku fanfic. Yes, I have sunken so low... No, I’m kidding.  I had fun writing this! 

Chapter one

Once upon a time, in a small village.  There lived a teenage boy with spiky brown hair and brilliant blue eyes. But this story isn’t about him, or how he found love. No it’s about his twin who found something a little more worthwhile.

Anyway, both boys were courteous, helped their father in his shop and were generally the type of boys who avoided trouble.  Sora didn’t always go looking for trouble, but it tended to follow him around, although plucky and fun-loving when it came to his brother he would defend him to the death.  Roxas on the other hand, was more withdrawn, and quiet.  And although he was willing to defend Sora if something should happen, he really did despise fighting.  But one day, trouble came looking for them.

“Hey Blondie!” The younger of the twins turned his head, since only one person referred to him as that.
“What do you want?” Sora stared at the older teen, a fringe of blonde hair peeked from underneath a black hat with a strange symbol on it.  Blue eyes filled with spite and a disdainful smirk on his face, and a scar running from between his eyebrows to underneath his right eye.
“Seifer’s talking to you, ya’know?”  His companion Rai a taller, darker complexion, with orange red eyes and black hair and muscles crossed his arms and stares at the twin boys.
“Answer.” A much smaller girl who stood next to the two teens states; short silver hair with bangs that hide her left eye, and leave the right blood red eye to stare at them.
“C’mon Sora, they’re just picking a fight.”  Roxas grabbed his brother’s wrist to pull him away, but Sora glared angrily at the group.  “Seifer haven’t you caused enough trouble already?” He shouted towards the older group of teens as he tried to pull his brother back towards the store.
“Yea, listen to your little Roxy, Sora!” Seifer grinned; the twins were so close that the kids in town sometimes teased them about it.
“That’s it!”  Sora, who usually wouldn’t have snapped so quickly but snapped he did, and launched himself at the older teen.

“Give’im the left hook ya’know?”  Rai shouted to Seifer as the two scrapped.
“Right.” Fui commands, getting a glare from Rai, and she returns it.
“Sora!”  Roxas tries to find a time to intervene and pull his twin out but… it looks like hell would freeze over before he got the chance. Suddenly the bell chimed.

The two squabbling teens stared up at the massive clock tower.  When ever it rung, it meant something had gone wrong.
“This ain’t over.”  Seifer stood up and turned towards town hall *which also was the local inn, and tavern* and he and his crew ran towards it.
“C’mon Roxas! What if has something to do with dad?”  Lately, the inventor slash book keeper had been getting a bad rep about being loud; in fact he’d recently been brought up at the last town meeting.

“I highly doubt that Sora” Roxas began but the older teen had a hold of his purple tunic and was pulling him behind him.  His brown spikes bouncing as he followed after the gang of bullies, eventually letting go of Roxas so they could move freely.

“Attention, attention!”  The booming voice of their town elder shouted over them.  It was a bit strange that he was the town elder because he didn’t seem to be that old, long blonde hair that fell down past the shoulders, and ended before even reaching the blade, and a pair of orange eyes. In a way, he looked a lot like Seifer, and there was a lot of talk about them being related.   The hall quieted down as everyone took a seat, be it at a table, on the bar itself, the stairs that lead up to the rooms or the rafters everyone stared at the man.
“There has been another wolf attack.”  Everyone gasped.  The wolves had been a growing problem.  Ever since a strange glow had emitted from the forest one night, the wolves had taken a more dangerous turn.
“Was anyone hurt?”
“How much livestock was taken this time?”
“Think of the children! Won’t someone please think of the children?!”
“Madness!”  Various voices shouted through the mass of people.  Sora and Roxas took the view from above everyone, being some of the few that would actually sit up in the rafters willingly.
“Settle down, settle down.  The town council has decided that we need to enlist some people to help with patrolling the area at night.  So if anyone should want to volunteer to patrol then come to the mayor’s house later and sign up.”  The mayor stood.  He was a rather large cat man, with buck teeth and rather wimpy.
“That’s right, just come to Mayor Pete’s house.  The door’s open fer ya!” He sat back down, a difficult task for one so large.  Sora giggled at how much he jiggled.
“Thank you Mayor Pete, now any new business?”  A few hands shot up, and both Roxas and Sora groaned.  They were their neighbors.  Just what they needed, some more gripes about their father.
“What is it Mr. McDuck?”  The short squat duck stood up on his chair so he could be heard.  Fixing his glasses on his beak.  Roxas groaned again.  Oh not him, he had the money to get what he wanted.
“Well Master Ansem, that bloomin’ idiot of an inventor Cid Highwind is making an awful ruckus!”
“That’s old business, Scrooge.  Now please sit.  Mr. Highwind is busy working on something for the benefit of the town, so if you would kindly refrain from bringing him up every time we have a meeting, I’m sure his sons would greatly appreciate it.”  He gestured up to the twin boys up in the rafters.  Both waved nervously to everyone.

Sora didn’t mind the attention, but Roxas wanted to go crawl into a hole and just stay there for a few days.  There were some more complaints about the wolves, their father and the small school scandal, but soon everyone became quiet.

“If that’s it then, meeting adjourned.” With a bang of his gavel, the town started to disperse; a mixture of chatter swarmed the inn and went up to the rafters.  Sora climbed down from the rafters, Roxas stayed where he was.  Waiting until it was nearly deserted to walk home.  Roxas watched from his high vantage point as his older brother talked with a few of their friends, and also the girl he liked.  Kairi Strife or something like that.

“SORA! ROXAS!”  The load shout came from somewhere all the way across town.
“Oh great, that’s dad.”  Sora grumbled as he gave Kairi a little peck and called up to Roxas to get his lazy butt down now.
“I’m coming Sora! Chill!”  Ever since their mother died, the twin boys were never far from home for too long.  In fact this was one of the rare occasions that they were.
“So, daddy’s little boys have to rush home now?”  It was Seifer talking again, sporting a bruise on his chin from an upper cut that Sora had dealt him.  Roxas grumbled at him to shut up, but the older teen would have none of it.
“Poor Daddy’s little twins. No mother to call their own, wah.”  Sora held back the anger he felt.  But Roxas was having a hard time doing so.
“Seifer just SHUT UP!”  It was probably the loudest that the teen had ever been, so it nearly scared them crazy when they heard him shout the last few words.  He grabbed Sora by his shirt sleeve and pulled him behind him before they could recover.

“Wow, you haven’t been that loud since-” Sora was afraid to continue.  It was a touchy subject that both of them did not like to talk about.
“Since mom died.  I know.  But Seifer just needs to learn that there are other people in this world.”  Roxas explained, he now walked with his hand by his side, as Sora walked with his behind his head.
“Yea, hey do you think dad actually got that machine to work?”  Sora asked out loud.  He glanced over at his twin, they really didn’t act alike, or even look alike for that matter.  Roxas had blonde hair that also defied gravity in an upward sweep, the same brilliant blue eyes, but an odd upside down heart was under his right eye. His face was stoic as usual.
“Do you mind if we stop by Mayor Pete’s? I want to sign up to go patrolling.”  Sora nearly fell over at Roxas’ comment.  Neither of them liked to fight, but why was his little brother ready to do so?
“What?  But why?”
“Because Sora, I want to keep you and dad safe.  You both have always been there for me, so it’s my turn now.”  His hands clenched at his side.  There was another reason, but he wasn’t ready to go into that one.
“Roxas, you don’t have to pay us back for keeping you safe.  You’re my little brother, and I’ll always make sure that no one comes and hurts you.  And dad takes care of both of us because he’s supposed to as a father.  So you don’t need to worry about it!”  It was a some what convincing argument, but still as they walked by the mayor’s house, Roxas walked up to the door, knocked and was almost knocked over by a tall rat.
“AND STAY OUT MORTIMER MOUSE!” Mayor Pete’s voice shouted as he tossed out a giant suitcase which burst open on the side walk.  He came to the door and ‘humphed’ then noticed Roxas.

“Roxas, bucko it’s been awhile since I’ve seen ya and your brother too!”  Sora looked over at the big mayor and waved nervously, then started to help the rat out.  “Don’t help that scum Sora; he’s a nut job who thinks that there is a beast in the old castle in the woods.”  He ushered Roxas in so Roxas could sign up.

~

“YOU DID WHAT?!”  Cid Highwind was still busy working on his machine to better the livestock problem when Roxas told him.  Sitting straight up, he forgot that he was underneath the contraption and hit his head with a resounding ‘clang’! “Shit and hell!”  He cursed, rubbing the now tender spot on his forehead.  His blonde hair swept up defying gravity just as well as his sons’, his blue eyes stared hard at the teen boy.
“I signed up to patrol.  My first shift is in three days.” Roxas explained quickly.  He had done it on a whim, but for some reason it felt like he had to.
“That’s the day I leave for the inventor’s convention...  Well, I wish you luck.”  He got back down underneath and continued to straighten and tighten bolts on it.    “Hey Roxas, hand me the hammer before you go bury your nose in a book.”  Roxas smirked, and handed him his hammer, before walking out the door of their shed back towards the house, ignoring the slight chill in the air that signaled winter was near.

~

It was three days later when Cid Highwind packed up his security system on a cart and hitched up their horse to go to the convention.  He would have to travel through the woods, but as long as he left early enough he wouldn’t encounter any wolves.
“Bye boys behave!”  He shouted over his shoulder as he rode out of sight.
“So Roxas, what should we do while you’re still free?”  Sora glanced at his twin, who had a sleepy grin on his face.
“Sleep?”  He stretched, it was really early.
“You can sleep later! We should go and get Seifer!”  A devilish grin on Sora’s face.
“You do that, I’m going back to bed.” Roxas turned on his heels and started to lazily walk back towards the house, mimicking Sora’s walk almost perfectly.
“But it’s boring when you pull a prank on someone by yourself!” Sora’s voice whiney.
“You know, how early it is.  And I’m even surprised that you’re so awake!”  The wind tugged at their night shirts as he opened the door to the house and walked inside.  A roaring fire in the fireplace, a couple of old lumpy chairs next to it.  He sunk into one, and curled up into a tight little ball.  Soon he was out like a light.  Sora quickly changed, and headed out the door to go call on Miss. Kairi.

It was some hours later when he awoke to find that Sora was no where nearby.  “Must be out with Kairi.” He thought to himself as he got up and stretched.  Then hurried to his room and put on his blue trousers, long purple tunic and his black boots.  It was then that he heard a ‘whiney’ from outside.  Their father should not be home yet.  He was supposed to be at the convention for at least three days.  He rushed outside, and found their father’s horse, still lugging around the invention, but Cid Highwind was no where to be seen.

“Amber!”  He rushed up to the horse, and checked for any type of damage, but the horse appeared to be fine.  “Wait, if you’re back, then where’s dad?”  Roxas stared into the horse’s amber eyes, and realized.  They were attacked by wolves.
“Oh no...” Roxas ran back inside, grabbed his long dark blue cloak and put it over his shoulders, hastily wrote a note for Sora, and then ran back outside and hoped onto the horses’ back with grace.
“C’mon Amber, we have to go find him!”  He steered the horse back towards the woods, which it was reluctant to do. “Amber, if you do this you’ll get three sugar cubes.” The horse’s ears perked up at that.

After an hour or so of riding, Roxas began to remember an odd sense of familiarity around this area of the woods, like he had been there before.  But he knew that wasn’t true.  No he’d visited it before in his dreams.  And this would be the part when he would have turned back, afraid of what was ahead.  But this was real, and now his father was in danger.  The horse suddenly stopped and wouldn’t budge an inch.
“Well, looks like I’m walking.  Thanks Amber.” He got off of her, and started to walk forward.  The horse nudged him, and he smiled. “Oh almost forgot.” He reached into one of the pockets of his cloak, handed her the promised sugar cubes, and started walking forward.  But he couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched.

~

He’d been walking for hours, he could tell that much because the sun was beginning to set.  Soon, the wolves would come out, and he’d be defenseless.  Well not really, he had a small knife with him, but that wouldn’t be enough against a pack of wolves.  And to top it all off, it had started to snow.
“Great.....”  He pulled his cloak tighter around himself, in an attempt to keep warm.  As he walked over a hill he noticed something in the distance.  A castle and it was huge.

~

A gate creaked open and a small head poked through and looked around, no one about.  He moved towards the giant front doors and pushed them open.  Again he glanced around, but saw not a soul.  Only furniture scattered around the front hall.  He ruffled his blonde hair freeing it from melting snow and anything else that could get caught in gravity-defying hair.
“Hello?  Father? Anyone?”  He looked around, and only saw a small light from a silver candelabra that sat on a small table next to the door. It held three candles all of them red and burning brightly. He picked it up gingerly and moved cautiously towards the giant stairs.
“Hello there sexy.”
“Huh? Who’s there?”  Roxas looked around, but saw no one, thinking he was hearing things he kept moving.

“So, you’re just going to ignore the person right in front of you? How nice.”  Again Roxas looked around, but then his eyes fell onto the candelabra in his hand, a face was on the center candle.  Two green eyes stared at him, an upside down triangle under each of its eyes and a grin on its ‘face’ “Hello! You finally catch on!”
“WAH!”  Roxas flung the talking inanimate object away from him.  It sputtered as it hit the ground, went out and then flickered back to life.  It then sat up and glared at him.
“You know, that wasn’t very nice little boy.”  It lectured.  Roxas got down on a knee next to it, and looked it over.
“I’m sorry, but it’s not every day that a candle talks to you.”  Roxas apologized, but the angered candelabra took offense to being called a candle.
“Candle?  I’m not a candle! I’m a Candelabra! And also for your information little boy, I was a man once!”
“Oh really?  Must have done something terrible to get turned into a candle stick.  Flirting with a wizard’s daughter and get caught?”  He joked, watching as the candelabra’s flames grew with indignation.
“NO! It was not because of me.  Sheesh, you’re cruel.  You’d get along great with Vexen.”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Candelabra...” Roxas started, but then it held up its right candle like a hand in front of it.
“Now, now.  None of that formality stuff. You can call me Axel. A-X-E-L, got it memorized? Now what are you doing here?”
“Well, Mr, I mean Axel.  I came looking for my father.  He’s an old man, with blonde hair, that sweeps up in the front.
“Oh! So you’re one of his twins then!” Axel’s eyes lit up.  “He’s in the dungeon.  He came in here while the master was away; looking for shelter because it was cold and he’d lost his horse.  Come, he’s this way!” Jumping up onto his stand, he hoped in a direction.  Roxas had no choice but to follow.

“WAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!”
“Oh, what now?” Axel stopped and turned towards the voice that had sounded.  It was a clock running towards them, well running as best as it could on its four legs that served as it’s stand. “Oh great.  It’s Demyx.”
“Demyx?”
“Yea, he’s the castle suck-up.”
“AXEL!!! WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?” It shouted at the candelabra.
“Taking the kid to see his dad.”
“But-but what if the master finds out?”  Roxas had gotten down on a knee again and was staring at the clock.  He was made of a dark oak, the handles on his sides he was waving around like arms, a pale colored face that held two blue eyes and a worried expression. And the decorative piece on top was shaped oddly like a mullet.
“Um, Mr. Demyx, what exactly had my father done to get thrown in the dungeon?”  Axel hadn’t fully explained to Roxas, and since this clock was a suck-up, then he would know.
“Oh, which one of the twins are you?”  The clock looked at him for the first time since he’d gotten there.  Looking over the boy he noticed an odd look about him.
“I’m Roxas, the younger one.  Can you please tell me so he can go to his convention?”  Roxas stared into the clock’s eyes.

“He was trespassing and so are youuuuow! What was that for?”  Axel had placed one of his candles right next to the back of the clock, and burned him.
“Don’t be mean you stupid clock!”  The candelabra hissed.  Demyx took a hint.
“Anyway, he trespassed, and is now stuck.”  The clock ‘shrugged’.
“Please, take me to him; I want to make sure that he’s alright.”  Roxas pleaded.  He stared at the two objects in front of him.  And they glanced at each other before looking over at the teen.
“Well, if we’re quick....”  The clock turned towards the direction that the candelabra had been going.  But something was nagging Roxas, why were these objects able to talk?

~

The candelabra and the clock led him down a dank stairwell, and deep into the earth.  Soon, he heard a coughing sound.  He recognized it.
“FATHER!”  He sprinted towards a wooden door with bars on top and on bottom.  He grasped the bars and peered inside.  He could see his father against the back wall.  A little worn from wear but alright.
“Roxas?” What in the hell are you doing here son?”  The old man was up in a flash and at the bars, staring his son dead in the eyes.
“I came to get you!  Amber came home and since you weren’t with her, I came after you!”
“Where’s your brother?”
“Probably at home by now.  C’mon we have to leave.” Roxas started to work furiously at the lock.
“Roxas, run. Leave me here alright?  I will not have you harmed by that beast!”  Cid ordered of his son.  But then, Axel’s light suddenly went out and it became dark.  But a small protesting voice from Demyx told them all that the master was there.

“Who are you?  And what are you doing here?”  The voice was cold, and Roxas nearly froze when he heard them.  He turned towards the voice as Axel turned his lights back on.  But he saw no one.
“I’m Roxas; I’ve come to save my father.  I mean you no harm.”  Roxas hoped his voice sounded stronger then what he felt.  Because right now, he just wanted to flee.
“Ignore him; he’s just my foolish son.”  Cid Highwind was afraid for his son.  What if the beast hurt him?
“How sentimental, a father would sacrifice for his own son and the son for his father. Hmph, well your father committed a crime, so he must pay.  Unless you want to take his place.” A figure stepped from the shadows and Roxas’ heart stopped in his throat.  The figure was tall, almost as tall as Seifer.  Two giant gray ram’s horns were on top of his head, and in front of them were two much smaller horns, barely even came out of the top of his long starlight hair.   A pair of turquoise eyes glared at the scene from behind a fringe of hair.  His lips were in a straight line.  Dressed in a long red coat with giant white cuffs, that barely hid the hands with long blood red nails. Then a pair of black pants and boots.

“Roxas, you don’t have to!  Just run home!” Cid could see the determined look on his son’s face and he knew what he was planning.
“If I take his place, then will you make sure he gets home safe?”  Roxas was stalling, he really wanted to run, but he wanted his father to be safe.
“Does this mean you are willing to take his place?”  The beast locked eyes with him, and Roxas nearly froze in the hard glare of ice.
“Yes, please make sure he gets home safe.”
“Roxas, NO! You can’t do this!” Cid worried.  But Roxas stepped away from the door, as the beast walked up to the door, placed a key in the lock, and opened the door.  Cid rushed out, and hugged his son. Roxas hugged him back.  This might be the last time he’d see his father.
“I’ll bring villagers with me the next time I come.  And we will get you back.”  He promised in Roxas’ ear.
“Best be quick, you’re going to leave here in style.” The beast snapped his fingers, and a gust of wind picked up the old man, and sent him flying up the stairs, and somewhere in the distance Roxas heard a giant slam, telling them that he was gone.  Roxas went and sat in his cell.

~

“Master are you just going to let him sit in there?  He did something really noble; he should be given at least a room!”  Axel chided the young monster.
“Well yes master, he did do something rather worth while.  He’ll never be able to see his twin or his father or his friends ever again, so you should....” Demyx agreed with the candelabra, odd for the pair.
“Do you really think I should?”  Even though he was lord of the castle, he was still unsure of any decision he made, because of the one he had made that made them all like this.
“Oh yes, definitely!”  The clock ‘nodded’ putting it’s arms together like two hands clapping in front of it.
“And you know, he might be ‘the one’.”  The candelabra prodded.  Their master’s eyes seemed to spark with hope for the first time in a long time.

“What are you doing in here?”  The beast stood leaning against one of the sides of the door way. Roxas looked at him curiously.
“I’m taking my father’s place?  Like I promised...”  What in the world?
“Well, I think you might find better accommodations upstairs, where it’s warmer.”  The cold ice of his eyes met Roxas’ and this time he didn’t find himself freezing.
“This isn’t a trap is it?”  Roxas glared back, raising an eyebrow with suspicion.
“No trap, it’s just that a couple of my butlers thought that you would like better lodgings.”  He explained simply.  Roxas let a ghost of a smile grace his lips and the beast nearly let loose one of his own.

“Alright then, that doesn’t sound too bad.”  He got up off of the floor and walked over towards the captor.  The beast stepped aside. And headed towards the stairs, picking up the candelabra on his way towards them.  The candelabra watched both teens, a look on his face that read annoyance at how silent they were both being.  Roxas had his eyes downcast, but would occasionally glance up when he heard a sound. The master was staring straight ahead, casting occasional glances behind him, to make sure that the younger was still following after him.

“Talk... Start a conversation....make a sentence...speak....move your lips….” The candelabra prodded.  It hated silence.
“Like what?” He whispered, “What if it gets awkward?”
“It can’t be anymore awkward then it is now.  C’mon you can do it...”  It moved the two candles like hands in a cheering motion.
“So you have a twin?”  He gritted his teeth, stupid, stupid, stupid!
“Yea, he’s at home though.” Roxas explained quietly, he didn’t want to anger him.
“Are you the older or is he?”  Again how stupid could he be?
“He is, he acts like it too....” Roxas now looked at him, why was he asking so many questions?  Was he after his brother?  “And he’s taken, so don’t get any ideas.”
“I wasn’t planning anything!”  The beast turned towards him, and in the small light the candelabra cast, he could see his porcelain skin flare a light pink.  It became quiet and awkward again.

Demyx who was sitting in Roxas’ arms, noticed something between the two.
“Go ahead and say something.”  He whispered to the teen.  Moving his handles like arms again.
“But, what if he gets angry at me?”  His blue eyes stared into the clock’s.
“I don’t think he will.” He grinned; He glanced over at Axel, who winked.  Wow, it was hard work playing matchmaker.
“Um, what’s your name?  Or should I just call you ‘beast’?”  Roxas whispered towards the tall figure in front of him.
“Riku,” It was growled, and Roxas almost went running back down the stairs.
“Riku, that’s a nice name.” Roxas attempted at small talk, but Riku was silent.
“Well, he didn’t get ‘mad’ at you.”  The clock shrugged and Roxas glared at him.

~

In the front hall, they went up another flight of stairs.  But Roxas saw more pieces of furniture moving around, even a few feather dusters.  Up that set, they moved up a few more until they were close to a wing of the castle.  This was when Riku stopped.
“You are not allowed to go into this wing of the castle, ever. Now your room is down this way.”  He turned and Roxas stared down said hall.  What was down there?  Now he was curious.  But when he turned back and saw Riku was already down the other hall, and turning the corner.  Running to catch up, he ran into his back.
“Here is your wing, you are free to explore it, and the rest of the castle if you wish.  But you will join me for dinner, every night.” He growled, as he turned away, leaving Roxas alone with Demyx.
“He’s being generous…” Demyx said after the master was a good few miles away.
“A little too generous if you ask me….”  Roxas pushed on a door, and it opened.  Inside there was a bed, a pink wardrobe, and a giant window.  “Guess I can sleep in here.”  He walked inside, and put Demyx down on the floor.  Then walked over to the window and gazed at the falling snow.
“Oh dear god!! What dreadful attire!” Some voice shrieked, and Roxas turned around in a flash.
“Demyx, was that you?”
“Not me!” The clock threw its hands up, and shook its head. “But I think it might have been the wardrobe….”
“Oh Demyx! You don’t even remember me? I feel so hurt!” The voice shrieked again.  This time though, Roxas actually examined the wardrobe.  It wasn’t exactly pink like he had thought at first, more of a pinkish brown, and the source of the voice came from the decorative piece that sat on top, a pair of violet-blue eyes glared down at him.
“Um, Hello?”  Roxas asked, staring up into the wardrobe’s eyes.
“Well, hello to you too! Thanks for finally noticing me!”  It huffed, obviously angered at being ignored.
“And you are?” Roxas now asked, better to get to know his ‘roommate’.
“I am Marluxia, and I used to be chief of wardrobe, but alas, some rather tragic, unfortunate events changed me into what you see before you.”
“OH Marly! Man, haven’t seen you in awhile!” Demyx clapped his handles together in recognition.
“Well, it’s not like I could have! I’m massive! I couldn’t even fit through the door!”  Marluxia started to cry, “My beautiful figure, turned into, into THIS!!!” Roxas didn’t know how to react that.
“Tea anyone?” The voice that came from the door was chilly.
“Vexen! Luxord” Demyx exclaimed as Roxas turned towards the voice that had spoken.
“Ay lovely, how you doin’?”  The teacup hopped up to Demyx and nuzzled against him.
“Luxord! Bad, down! Bad teacup, bad!”  Demyx ran until he was behind Roxas.
“Oy, hard to get eh?  ‘Ello whot’s this? A new toy for the master?”  It sidled over to Roxas, Roxas got down on a knee to examine the offensive teacup.  Its rim was a goldish color, pale porcelain, for a cup, then a gold handle, and blue eyes.  There was something like a goatee underneath the handle.
“I’m no one’s toy.” Roxas growled at the teacup.
“Toy are not, you’re still stuck here, like the rest of us.” He jumped.
“Luxord, by chance are you putting rum in your tea again?”  Demyx asked.
“No.” The teacup said after a pause, “What would make you think that?”
“Don’t know, just a hunch.”  Demyx then watched as the teapot shoved the teacup away.
“Let me see him, you little brit.” Roxas now looked at the teapot, its cap was brown, and a pair of green eyes stared at him from between a pale snout, its handle was a deep blue.
“Okay, then you’re Vexen. Nice to meet you.”
“Hmph, I see nothing special about this boy, he’s just like us, stuck. Stuck like rats in a rat cage in a lab.”
“VEXEN!”  Demyx shouted as he smacked the teapot.
“What? It’s true!” He turned towards him and glared. “And this is just ridiculous! The master probably believes everything that you and that damn candlestick are telling him,”
“Hey! Just because you two have a history….”
“He fuckin’ burned me!” He moved until you could see a blackened spot underneath the handle.
“It was an accident! You were standing a bit to close to him!”
“No, that pyro lives to torment me!” It complained.
“Excuse me,” Roxas tried to get a word in, but the clock and the teapot were arguing back and forth that it was almost impossible.

“SHUT UP DAMMIT!”  The teen raised his voice and the arguing stopped as they looked at him. “What’s going on here? Why can you guys talk and move around?” The objects glanced at each other before fixing their gazes on the teen.
“Well, it’s a long story…” Demyx started.
“Looks like I have all the time in the world.” He smarted off, trying to make a joke because of Demyx being a clock.
“Actually you don’t, you have dinner with the master in ten minutes.”  Demyx warned him.  “Come along so we can get there, and you not get lost.”
“Ooo! Dinner with the master?  You just have to let me change your appearance!”  Marluxia whined, and Roxas shook his head.
“No, I’m fine.”  Roxas walked towards the door behind the clock, teapot and teacup.
“PLEASE?!” He whined, and Roxas just shook his head and left.
